PATCH NOTES:
Additions:
- ADDED NEW OPTION: Rebind Keys! Because you're worth it. Merry Christmas!
- ADDED NEW OPTION: Hats (You can choose to turn off the cosmetic hats)
- ADDED NEW OPTION: Filter (Select between some screen filter effects, such as monochrome)
- ADDED NEW MODIFIER: Death Bombs (Enemies have a percentage chance to drop a live bomb on death)
- ADDED NEW FEATURE: Skins (Choose from a selection of 10 different skins for your character!)
- Added a little screen appearance effect to the main menu, for style
- Added information window pop-ups for Modifiers and Skins selections on the main menu
- Added icons to some statistics, to clarify what they're tracking
- Added "NEW" item indicators to the inventory, to highlight items that you recently discovered
- Added currently held gold to the HUD
- Added icons to some dialogue to indicate what they're referring to
- Added attack telegraph to Frost Lurker enemy and snowball cannon trap
Changes:
- Changed Gold (collected) statistic into Seconds (played). Gold wasn't being tracked correctly
- Clarified some credits
- Made the menu cursor return to the previous menu selected when backing out, instead of to New Game
- Improved visibility of MP cost meter
- Made Magic Mode modifier reduce maximum HP by 1 heart (2HP), to make it less easy
- Made more weapon-based functions un-usable in Magic Mode
- Made dash trail slightly transparant
- Added icons of Ore and Gem to the pickup texts. It looks nicer that way, I think
- Made Ore and Gem pickup texts follow the screen, so that they don't scroll off if you leave
- Changed visuals of Inventory, to be more neat and pleasant to look at (I think)
- Changed shade of blue for the mana bar and mana upgrade items, etc. for better visual clarity
- Made most HUD elements more visible within the inventory screen
- Made equipment HUD elements become temporarily more visible after switching/gaining/using them, etc.
- Added short invulnerability during/after screen transition
- Made weapon hitboxes a bit more precise
- Made Frost freeze water from off-screen, to make it more convenient to traverse watery screen edges
- Made Cookies magic spin faster the less of them are active
- Made Cookies magic able to block multiple projectiles before breaking (but still break instantly on enemies)
- Reduced enemy invulnerability time after being hit by Cookies magic
- Changed rocks layout in sector A-9, to prevent you getting trapped if you get there via magic
- Made island in sector B-9 slightly larger. It was a bit too cramped for fighting on before
- Added a tree (and a trap in Extra Traps modifier) to sector C-7
- Slightly changed layout of sector H-2 to add a few Swarm enemies. They only existed in one screen before
- Reduced Snowball items gained from snow piles from 4 to 3, because they're powerful
- Slightly increased drop chance of Snowball items from Snow Slime (8>10%) and Snowman (20>30%)
- Decreased time before Elf enemy attacks after being spawned
- Changed colours of one Toy Soldier enemy, to be different from the skin you can choose
- Gave locks on boxes and doors an outline flash to make them stand out more
- Changed visuals of the magically charged orbs, to give them different animations, not just colours
- Adjusted some trap positions and amounts in Extra Traps modifier. It was a little much before
Fixes:
- Added a missing item icon to the map image guide
- Fixed slight graphical error in Statistics window
- Fixed state of any cheats toggled on carrying over if you return to menu and then back into game
- Fixed slight graphical error in your in-water animation
- Fixed some incorrect weapon hitboxes
- Fixed invulnerability time at end of a dash sometimes being shorter than expected
- Fixed Silver Bell friend sometimes going behind secret walls
- Fixed explosions causing snowpiles to drop 3 snowballs, even if they're already partially harvested
- Added missing interaction between snowballs and pots
- Updated battle lock-in barrier programming, to prevent weird wall movement sticking when they're not visible
- Updated spikes programming, to prevent weird wall movement sticking when they're not visible
